BIOGRAPHY

Abby Lyons began dancing at the age of two. While growing up she danced at several studios in Upstate New York. She received the opportunity to attend The New York State Sumer School for The Arts at the age of 14. After that, she began studying at Manhattan Youth Ballet under Erin Fogarty, Daniel Ulbricht, Deborah Wingert, Earl Mosely, and others. During her time at MYB, she had the opportunity to perform several iconic works by George Balanchine as well as original works by the faculty. In 2017, Abby was accepted to The University of North Carolina School for the Arts High School where she studied under Susan Jaffe, Eva Draw, Jared Reddick, and others. After studying here for a year she returned to Manhattan Youth Ballet to finish high school. While in her senior year, she began performing with her high school theater group as well as other local theater groups. In 2019 she began pursuing a Bachelors in Fine Arts in Dance at Marymount Manhattan College. After studying here for two years she made the decision to transfer to The Boston Conservatory at Berklee where she is pursuing a Bachelors in Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance Performance. At the Conservatory she has had the opportunity to perform in one of their Mainstage productions. During her studies, Abby has trained in numerous styles of dance. She has experience in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and Musical Theater. In addition to these, she has ten years of experience dancing en pointe. In addition to dance training, she has taken voice and acting lessons.
